I Downloaded The App StyleBook, Here Are My Thoughts

I have to say, when I came across this app, I was very excited to say the least. I felt like Cher in Clueless where I would be pushing a button and letting the computer choose an outfit for me. Now StyleBook is not quite like this, but if you're anything like me, then when you buy something, you're immediate thoughts are how am I going to style this and I need to write it down immediately so I don't forget!

The app has a feature that allows you to create an outfit and save it for when you may want to wear it later. It's also sorted by occasion, which is perfect for ideas of outfits that come to mind, but you are not necessarily sure where to wear it to yet.

Now, I have been spending the past few days little by little adding more and more to my closet in the app. I actually find it fun as I get to try and find, or just take pictures of pieces already in my closet. It allows you to revisit pieces you forgot that you had, or maybe you see something that you know that you need to get rid of.

For me, on Instagram I have a folder of saved images for clothing that I love and another folder for inspiration of looks that are amazing. The only problem is having to shuffle through all of it to try and find that one picture you saved from two months ago. So when I saw this feature I got really excited because I can spend hours trying to find a picture on my phone and this way is much more organized.

I really care and love fashion and style. My favorite thing is receiving a compliment on one of my outfits. I will think for hours about an outfit to wear. In high school, when I played water polo and swam, there were these long swim sets where your mind would go somewhere else, and for me that was planning outfits. I am inspired by other stylists like Maeve Reilly and Jill Jacobs, along with celebrities and influencers such as Danielle Bernstein and Romee Strijd. I always want to capture an outfit, and I have never really had a place to store it until now.

The home page on the app basically gives an overview of all of the tabs, but with the added features of Packing, Style Stats, Shopping, Style Expert, and the ability to receive things from others over wifi. Within the shop button, you can create your own wish list of items you want to buy. I usually end up writing a list in my notes on my phone of things that I want that eventually gets pushed down into the abyss of notes I have, until I can no longer find it. So this makes me very excited and yes, my list will be very long, but there are just so many amazing fashion pieces in the world. Also, the packing option is great if you are planning on what outfits you want to wear on vacation. I have a 2-3 day trip coming up where I am going to Malibu, and I will definitely be using this feature to help with the packing process.

The calendar page allows you to track what you are wearing and how much you are wearing it. This is great if you feel like you are always wearing the same thing and want to branch out a little more.

If you are anything like the style fanatic that I am, then this is the app for you.
