Self Care: What I Do To Look After Myself

Ever since getting back from Miami I have been really into doing everything to look after myself and feel my best. Here is everything that I am doing:


Daily Walks:

I try to get in at least a 3 mile walk every single day. My goal is to walk over 10,000 steps everyday and my Apple watch helps me keep track. It's nice to get outside and be in the sun and nature. There is a nice trail about a fifteen minute drive away from campus. I have been going there about everyday and I love walking alongside the creek and seeing all the birds and animals.


Pilates

In Miami, I tried out JetSet Pilates and it was my first time doing a pilates class with a reformer, but absolutely loved it. I decided when I got home for the summer, I was going to join a pilates studio, but in the meantime I bought the online JetSet membership which is only $10 a month. I have been loving it and even though there is no reformer, it is still super challenging and I love the way it makes me feel. All you need is a band and sliders.


Orange Theory/ HIIT Work Out

I like going to Orange Theory a few times a week to get a good sweat in and to add in more HIIT workouts into my week. At home, I really like going to Chalk Performance Training a few times a week for weightlifting which I also really enjoy.


Hair: Hair Masks and Hair Oil

I use hair oil after every wash and I try to do a hair mask 2 times a week or when I really feel my hair needs it.

Face: Sheet Masks, Gua Sha, Sunscreen, Exfoliator, Moisturizer, Lip Balm, Wearing A Hat


I love using a face mask when I feel my skin getting a little dull or if I get any breakouts.

It's so funny because I have been seeing Gua Shas all over TikTok and I got mine at the start of winter break and decided to start using it and I really love it. I do it in the mornings and I feel like it helps if I feel my face is swollen or just want some more definition in my face.

Sunscreen is really important to wear and helps protect your skin, not just now, but also in the future.

I had to switch up my moisturizer this past summer after getting some bad allergic reactions on my face and found this one that I absolutely love because it doesn't make my face feel really oily and it's not too thick.

When I went on a trip to Catalina Island over the summer, my lips never got so burnt in my entire life. I forgot my SPF lip balm and was so disappointed! My lips were so puffy and hurt so bad, so this stuff is definitely a life saver. Protect your lips!

Whenever I go on walks I wear a hat to help protect my skin even more and I think they can even look super cute!
